Alva can spawn in three different locations in a zone where she can be found. Speak to her and complete the incursion in each location.

Alva, Master Explorer (real name Alva Valai) is a master of Vaal heritage. She gives the player access to incursions, followed by the Temple of Atzoatl once enough incursions are completed. Players can encounter Alva from Act 7 onwards.

A temporal incursion is a short-duration visit to the past wherein two Vaal architects are vying for control of a room within the Temple of Atzoatl. The objective is to murder one of the architects so that the other can prevail, thereby altering the Temple in the present time.

Access

After completing No Time like the Present, Alva Valai will have a chance to spawn in most zones, allowing the player to enter three Incursions - There will be three separate entrance points throughout any map she spawns in. She does not spawn in side areas or if the zone is more than 10 levels lower than the level of the player. Alva can also appear in maps. You can guarantee Alva to spawn by using an Atlas Mission.

Each time players encounter Alva Valai in the wilderness, she can open a time portal, allowing a visit to an incursion room in the ancient Vaal Temple of Atzoatl during its construction.

During the Incursion League, she would appear in almost every zone, but would only allow access to one Incursion per zone as opposed to the current three.

Incursion rooms

Players have a short time, initially 10 seconds, to spend in each temporal incursion. During this time, they can (in descending order of priority):

• Kill one of two Vaal Architects who guide the temple's construction. This will either change the room in the present-day Temple of Atzoatl to a different type with the surviving architect's theme, or upgrade it to the second or third tier of the same theme and improve rewards. Damaging the Architect extends the incursion duration.
• Pick up a Stone of Passage that drops as loot and use it to open one of the locked (red) doors. This will open the corresponding passage in the present-day Temple of Atzoatl, allowing the player to access more of the dungeon. These are guarded by rare monsters.
• Kill monsters to extend the incursion duration and gain loot. The loot will drop all at once after the end of the incursion.

Note that you cannot get the same incursion room more than once in a single area. Killed architects cannot be re-encountered for the entirety of that temple.

Alva: Master Explorer

Alva gives the player access to incursions, followed by the Temple of Atzoatl once enough incursions are completed. Players can encounter Alva from act 7 onwards.

Each day five new master missions (1 for each master) at will be added to the player’s accumulation after the reset at 0:00am (GMT+0) based on the tier (white, yellow, red) of the player’s last completed map. The map must be completed the day before in their own map device. Completing party-play maps from other players map devices does not count.

Complete map

There is 35% chance (on average 7% per master) to have additional master mission from completing the map.

Tips: Run short maps (like  City Square Map) to gain master missions. Efficiency increases with Awakening Bonus completion. If possible, favourite the map, and manipulate watchstones to keep the map at a low red rank to optimize clearspeed.
