The Butcher's CleaverUnique Axe 725 Item Power 856 Damage Per Second
Flavour Text: A nightmarish amalgam of blood, bone and steel, this axe is as horrific, and as deadly, as its creator. Requires Level 60 Barbarian, Druid |
It drops from the following bosses:
The Butcher's Cleaver is not class specific, but only Druids and Barbarians can use it, since only these classes can use Axes. This drops off The Butcher, a random NPC that can show up nearly anywhere and in all World Tiers. This is also one of the only Uniques that can drop before World Tier 3 (Nightmare).
When you Critically Strike an enemy, you have a 100% chance to Fear and Slow them for a short time. This is particularly good for builds that emphasize both Critical Strike and Slowing, as these also add a lot to both with their affixes. For Critical Strike, there's also increased Critical Strike Damage and additional Critical Strike Chance against Injured enemies. For Slowing, there's increased damage against Crowd Controlled enemies. There's also an increase to Physical damage, which nearly any Barbarian can use.
It can be found in World Tier 3: Nightmare and even more can be found in World Tier 4: Torment.
You can wear multiple different unique items and gain each of their benefits.
Players and enemies are Healthy when they are above 80% Life and Injured when they are below 35% Life.
Direct damage includes all damage dealt to enemies that is not from damage over time effects. Only direct damage can Critically Strike, Damage over Time cannot. Each hit has a random chance to be a Critical Strike. This chance is equal to your Critical Strike Chance (CSC) stat, which can be increased in many different ways.
Critical Strike = 5% chance to deal 50% bonus damage. You can increase both of these numbers with skills and gear.
Players and enemies are Healthy when they are above 80% Life and Injured when they are below 35% Life.
Physical damage is the most common type of damage, associated with white, red or black colors. All the hero classes and almost all monster types have a physical damage attack as their default attack. Any melee blow or kinetic missile will count as Physical. If damage type of a weapon or skill is not specified, it is most likely Physical. Bleed effects use Physical damage type as well. In addition, Demon Hunters, who use the power of shadow itself, also deal Physical damage when they unleash hatred of the pure darkness. Necromancers, in turn, use the powers of Blood and Bone to deal Physical damage.
The Fear status effect prevents enemies from moving or taking action AND causes the affected target to run away for a short duration. It can be removed through Unstoppable or Immune effects.
Fear (a.k.a. Sends Enemy Flee in Fear) is a type of Crowd Control effect in Diablo 4. Fear has no effect on bosses.
Enemies that are Slowed have reduced movement speed.
