Once you have completed the Campaign, any Seasonal character will start the game with:

• The option to skip the Campaign.
• Your Mount available immediately.
• All previously discovered Altars of Lilith unlocked, and the corresponding Renown for them.
• All previously discovered areas of the map revealed, and the corresponding renown for them.

Skip Campaign: Head straight into the open world. This is a permanent choice for this character.

Normally, it is suggested to Skip Campaign.

FAQs

Q: Can I complete the compaign on a SC character and then skip campaign on a new HC character? Can I initially skip campaign on a character, then choose to play it later to get any specific rewards(like the bubble amulet from Viro in Act 1)?

A: You can skip campaign on HC if you complete it first on SC. You can’t choose to skip the campaign and then decide to go play a part of it in isolation at launch.

Diablo 4’s Associate Game Director Joe Piepiora clarified on Twitter that completing the campaign once on Normal or Hardcore will unlock the ability to skip the campaign for all future characters across all modes!

Prior to this, Global Community Development Director Adam Fletcher mentioned on Twitter that the Skip Campaign feature will be available after playing through the campaign once. During Blizzard’s Diablo 4 Developer Update in May we have also learned that the Skip Campaign unlock will carry over into Seasons.
