Skull and Bones allows for one player per ship in both the single-player campaign and multiplayer modes.
However, while only one player directly controls a ship, the multiplayer aspects offer opportunities for collaboration:
Co-operative play: Up to three players can team up in their own ships to tackle challenges and contracts together.
Disputed Waters: This PvP (player versus player) mode pits five players against each other in ship-to-ship combat, but each player still commands their own vessel.
