The lockbox comes from across the sea, an unassuming heirloom from the era before the empress and even Yaesha itself. The gilding and crest on the lid were added much later at Jinas’s request.

Ornate Lockbox is a Quest Item in Remnant 2. Quest Items are used to unlock or advanced through certain quests or main story quests, as well as unlocking and discovering certain areas. Key Items are specifically found in specific areas of a Location, given by NPCs or looted from Enemies and Bosses.

How to Use Ornate Lockbox in Remnant 2

Ornate Lockbox is used in the following Quests or Location:

• You must interact with it and use the Ornate Key, inside lies a Thaen Seed. You can take the seed to The Eternal Empress to get the Burden of the Rebel.
• You must not open the lockbox and return it and the Ornate Key to The Eternal Empress to get the Red Doe Sigil.

How to Find Ornate Lockbox in Remnant 2

Ornate Lockbox can be found in:

• Can be found in Yaesha – The Widow’s Court. Found behind an illusory wall next to a chest under the castle in Widow’s Court, indicated by a lit brazier. Area can be reached by jumping down the “water” hole just before the exit to the next level, one of the paths leads to a chest next to where you can find the mentioned wall.
