PoE Azmeri God Shrine

Ah, the Azmeri God Shrines! These ancient remnants, often found tucked away in the Viridian Wildwood, hold secrets and stories of the long-lost Azmeri civilization. While the inscription may be faded, it whispers of a time when powerful deities held sway over Wraeclast.

The specific inscription found on the shrine could offer clues about the nature of the worshipped deity. Was it the cunning serpent goddess Atziri, the enigmatic weaver of shadows Xoph, or perhaps the ruthless war god Tul? Each Azmeri god possessed a unique domain and personality, reflected in the imagery and atmosphere surrounding their shrines.

Discovering an Azmeri God Shrine can lead to various encounters in Path of Exile:

  • Hidden chambers: Some shrines conceal passages to hidden chambers, often containing valuable loot or lore scrolls. Keep an eye out for cracks or secret mechanisms within the shrine's structure.
  • Spirit encounters: Interacting with the shrine might trigger the appearance of an Azmeri spirit, offering cryptic messages, quests, or even challenging battles. Prepare for the unexpected!
  • Unique items: Certain shrines, when activated, have a chance to spawn unique items related to the worshipped deity. These items can possess powerful affixes and lore tied to the Azmeri mythos.

Remember, the faded inscription is just a starting point. Exploring the shrine thoroughly, interacting with its features, and delving deeper into the surrounding Wildwood may unlock its true secrets. Who knows, you might even stumble upon a forgotten Azmeri ritual or artifact, granting you boons or uncovering a lost chapter of history.

So, venture forth, Exile! Let the faded inscription of the Azmeri God Shrine guide you on an adventure into the mysteries of Wraeclast's past. You never know what treasures and knowledge await amidst the ancient stones.

In Path of Exile: Affliction, you’ll cleanse the Viridian Wildwood of its Affliction, earn valuable rewards and learn the ancient ways of the Azmeri Wanderers.

While exploring the Wildwood, you might find some of the last few Azmeri Wanderers who have managed to survive in the forest since it was cursed.

Choose which of the Azmeri Wanderers that you will complete quests for to unlock one of three new Ascendancy classes which you can have in addition to your regular Ascendancy class. Up to eight points for these classes are unlocked as you complete quests for the Azmeri.

The Azmeri are a race/faction of Wraeclast. After The Fall of the Vaal, the migrants from the Azmeri descended from the Azmerian Mountains and founded the Eternal Empire in an event known as “Imperialus Conceptus”. As a result, although there are Eternals of Azmerian descent, only history before 1 IC is considered “Azmerian”. A few descendants of the original Azmeri tribes scatter Wraeclast around the Forest Encampment and within the Viridian Wildwood.
