PoE Affliction Golems 3.24

Golems can be powerful allies in Path of Exile, and Affliction presents some exciting opportunities for utilizing them in challenging and rewarding ways. Here’s a breakdown of what makes Golems compelling for Affliction content:

Advantages of Golems in Affliction:

  • Strong Clear Speed: Certain Golems like Carrion Golem or Stone Golem excel at clearing large groups of Affliction mobs and adds, making them ideal for efficient map farming.
  • Boss Damage Potential: Properly geared and supported Golems can deal significant single-target damage, helping you conquer Affliction’s tough bosses.
  • Unique Utility: Some Golems offer defensive benefits like Taunt or Blind, providing valuable support in dangerous Affliction encounters.
  • Summoner Playstyle: Summoner builds offer a distinct playstyle focusing on minion tactics and strategic positioning, adding a refreshing twist to Affliction’s challenges.

Challenges to Consider:

  • Gear Dependency: Some Golem builds can be gear-intensive, requiring specific items and supports to reach their full potential.
  • Micromanagement: Manually summoning and positioning Golems can add complexity to Affliction encounters, requiring practice and adaptability.
  • Boss Positioning: Golems might struggle with certain Affliction boss mechanics that target or ignore minions, requiring strategic adjustments.
  • Limited Active Summon: Having only one active Golem at a time can feel restrictive compared to other minion builds.

Optimizing Golems for Affliction:

  • Focus on Golem Synergy: Choose a Golem that aligns with your overall build philosophy and complements your skills and strategy.
  • Invest in Golem Gear and Supports: Prioritize items and support gems that boost your Golem’s damage, survivability, and utility.
  • Practice Golem Positioning: Learn to maneuver your Golem effectively in Affliction encounters, maximizing its damage output and avoiding dangerous zones.
  • Adapt to Boss Mechanics: Be prepared to adjust your Golem’s positioning and skills based on specific boss challenges in Affliction.
  • Consider Summon Carrion Golem: This unique Golem provides offensive support to other golems and party members, adding another layer of strategic flexibility.
