Diablo 4 Power Leveling Friends

The best way way to Power Leveling in Diablo 4 is to group up with other players. Having up to four players in your party will grant a 10% XP increase gain, which will make leveling easier as you tackle hordes of demons and other monstrosities. You will even receive a 5% XP gain when participating in World Events outside of quests if there are other players in your general vicinity.

Power Leveling Diablo 4 with Friends

When playing multiplayer in Diablo 4, you’ll get an XP boost. This boost applies to anyone who finds and fights with a fellow player in Diablo 4’s overworld, but it’ll double if you’re in a party.

If you stay near another player in Diablo 4, you will get a 5% XP boost. This applies whenever you’re near another player, including a random person that you find running around the world.

However, if you’re near a party member, this multiplayer XP boost will double to 10%. These bonuses do not stack – it is a 10% boost overall, rather than an additional 10% on top of the original 5% – but a 10% boost to your XP gain without any need to raise the difficulty is huge.

Even better, playing Diablo 4 in multiplayer is generally easier than solo, as you’ll have more roles filled in your crew. For example, a Barbarian and Rogue pair will kill demons more efficiently thanks to the Rogue’s Crowd Control effects making the Barbarian even stronger, compared to a lone player using either class. That means faster progress through quests and dungeons, which means you’ll get XP for completing said activities at a faster rate.

Nightmare Dungeons

Nightmare Dungeons serve as your main source of XP at later World Tiers. These dungeons award tons of XP, valuable Glyph XP which is required to level Paragon Glyphs. Clearing Nightmare Dungeons also has a reasonable chance of dropping Unique items, so you’ll be progressing your character on multiple fronts. You can also teleport to Nightmare Dungeons directly from your map, so there’s virtually no downtime between each dungeon.

In general, you’ll want to farm Nightmare Dungeons that are three levels above you. This grants the most bonus XP from enemy kills without greatly impacting your build’s survivability or damage output. At World Tier 3, the dungeon’s monster level is equal to the listed tier plus 53. For example, a T10 dungeon is level 63, making this the ideal tier to farm at level 60. World Tier 4 increases this to the listed tier plus 54.

As for dungeons to farm, you’re looking for anything that has tons of enemies with a short layout. Some of our favorites include Aldurwood, Maulwood, Guulrahn Canals, and Champion’s Demise. You’ll also want to pay attention to dungeon affixes when clearing Nightmare Dungeons. Avoid dungeons with Resource Burn and Cold Damage affixes, as these significantly slow down your clearspeed. Clear the dungeon in full, use your Glyph XP, then use another Nightmare Sigil.

Helltide And Legion Events

While you can’t farm these events since they’re time-sensitive, the Helltide and Legion Events are always worth running for XP. Helltide will spawn enemies two levels above you throughout the entire event, granting even more XP on kills. Enemy density is also slightly increased in the Helltide due to more frequent world events. Be sure to farm world events in the Helltide to earn as much XP and Obols as possible. You’ll also want to open all the mystery chests in each Helltide to stock up on Forgotten Souls, a valuable endgame currency you’ll need to upgrade and reroll items.

One activity many players forget about is Legion Events. These occasionally pop up on the map as a large circle icon, providing a five-minute countdown before the event begins. Legion Events have amazing enemy density, many Elites, and are fairly quick. You’ll always want to participate in Legion Events whenever they pop up. Since the in-game notification for Legion Events is so short, we highly recommend tracking Legion Events through a third-party website or the Diablo 4 Sanctuary Discord to get notified of when an event is about to start.

Tree of Whispers Favors

In order to get a bounty box (and the big XP dump that comes with it) from the Tree of Whispers, you’ll need to earn 10 points of Favor by doing dungeons or other various things in the open world. You’ll already be doing at least one of those things, so ideally you’ll be clearing out dungeons for Renown that are also highlighted for the Tree’s Favor. Keep in mind that this is much easier to do at the start, as the Tree will have no choice but to pick dungeons you haven’t done yet. Once it starts asking you to complete dungeons you’ve already gotten Renown for, prioritize completing the Renown farm first and using the Tree second.

Power Leveling a New Alt with friends

First, start with the skip campaign selected and then get a friend to help or find a speedrun helper to do both W3 & W4 Capstone dungeons – W3 being Cathedral of Light, and W4 being Fallen Temple.

Next, proceed to an exp farming spot. This is another good time to have a friend to reach level 50. Overall, this should take less than an hour!

Count leveling in exp dungeons via reset or join Nightmare Dungeons farming for Glyphs exp. Your goal is to get your core Glyphs to level 15. In total, this would cost 5m-10m gold or take 1-2 hours of your friend’s time.

Remember to start looking for Rares After W4 & Keep Good Legendaries we can also craft from the Codex.

The next goal is to be able to farm exp dungeons or Nightmare Dungeons after level 65+. Use Rares you found during leveling or buying key cheap pieces for 1-2m gold on Discord. This way, you can then solo/co-op farm for exp by resetting the method or even start earning gold from selling runs using your alt.

One last tip is that you should have a mid game build ready for your alt class, one that is not unique dependent & can function with crafted Codexes is key!

Time Frame Summary:

  • First 1 Hour: Clear 2 Capstone & 1-50
  • Next 12-20 hours: level up  via resetting dungeons or Nightmare runs
    • Get lvl 50+ so we can get Glyph exp too
  • With the latest buff, Nightmare Runs gives much better exp
  • It’s possible to reach Lvl 100 in 1-3 Days this way!
    • Of course, there wouldn’t be much time for sleep haha, so best to take it easy guys!
