Another old friend returns to Diablo 4 in Frostburns, gloves specializing in dealing Cold damage. While not quite as cold-centric as previous incarnations, Frostburns do give an inherent ability to Freeze on a lucky hit, and increase both Freeze duration and Cold damage. Since these also give a bonus to Critical Strike and give a chance to restore your primary resource, they will be of some interest to any class that specializes in Crit Strike. While these aren't quite the Frost bomb they were before, they'll still be a great choice for any cold-centric build, particularly those that give extra damage to Frozen enemies.

It can be found in World Tier 3: Nightmare and even more can be found in World Tier 4: Torment.

    Critical Strike Chance

    • When a Skill deals damage, it has a chance to Critically Strike.
    • Critical Strikes deal {#} bonus damage. For Example, Critical Strike Chance is 5.3%, then Critical Strikes deal 50.0% bonus damage.
    • Damage over time cannot Critically Strike.

Critical Strike = 5% chance to deal 50% bonus damage. You can increase both of these numbers with skills and gear.

    Cold Damage Bonus:

    • Increases your Cold damage dealt.
    • You have +{#} of this stat from items and Paragon.

Cold is one of the types of Elemental Damage. It is unique in that it not only damages targets, but it also often slows enemies. The effect is visible by a blue hue, and is commonly known as Chill. Frozen effect is a more powerful consequence, often added to Cold skills. Usually Cold is associated with colors blue or white.

    Freeze

Frozen enemies cannot move or attack. Enemies can be Frozen by repeadly Chilling them. Summons three icy crystals that have a snowy area of effect, Chilling players within the radius. After a short time, the crystals explode.
